Our Founders' Story

Rebecca Trujillo Vest, Jordan Stobbe and Carls Woolf met during the pandemic while attending a songwriting course called 6 Figure Songwriting by Catch The Moon, founded by Cathy Heller. Throughout the course it became clear that there was a kinship among them and they felt almost as though they had met before. Their friendships grew and remained strong after
the course ended.

Rebecca, Jordan, and Carls are all active musicians themselves, and were aware of the many challenges of building a music career and frustrated by the extreme lack of support for independent and emerging artists in today’s music industry. So, the three women began working together and developing the idea to build a non profit organization that would benefit uplift and champion the “little guys” with a focus on inclusivity and diversity. With the majority of the music and entertainment industry leveraged on for-profit companies that charge high amounts for services and resources, what they dreamed up was something that looked different. The fundamental goal of their organization would be total support of the artists by providing resources completely free of charge, and would rely on outside funding rather than membership fees or other paywalls.

Their vision grew to create a space of support and hub of accessible resources that musicians from any background, anywhere in the world could benefit from to help build long-lasting and sustainable lives in music.
